At 17th annual Beach to Beacon 10k this morning in Cape Elizabeth, Maine Native Ben True mixed it up with the top Kenyans finishing in a American course record of 27:50 in third place. On the women's side Shalene Flanagan came within a step of becoming the first American winner in the race history, Flanagan was time in 31:26.5, the same as winner Gemma Steele.
Maine's most famous and popular road the Beach to Beacon will take place on Saturday morning in Caoe Elizabeth. We will be on hand at the race and hoep to connect with several runners post-race.
